REPAIRRIDE

Terms of Service

Effective [November 16, 2026] · Version 2.3

Please read these Terms. They are a contract between you and RepairRide LLC, a California limited liability company (“RepairRide,” “we”). They include a limitation of our liability and a choice of California law and courts. Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.

1. Agreeing to these Terms

You agree to these Terms when you check the box or tap the button marked as agreeing to them while creating an account, booking as a guest or signing in, and whenever you use the Service after that. We keep a record of the version you accepted. If we change these Terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before the change applies and ask you to accept again where the law requires; otherwise the updated Terms apply when you next use the Service. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and, if you have an account, delete it.

2. What RepairRide is, and is not

RepairRide is an online booking platform. It lets you find independent auto, bike and ski & snowboard repair shops and mobile mechanics (“Shops”), see the services, prices and hours they publish, reserve an appointment time, message the Shop, respond to estimates, follow your job and keep track of your visits and receipts. Some Shops also use RepairRide to sell parts and accessories in an online store, rent out equipment such as bikes, skis and snowboards, send you a link to pay, and run a loyalty program. For some Shops it also provides tools the Shop uses to run its business.

RepairRide does not repair vehicles and is not a party to the repair. Each Shop is an independent business that decides what it offers, at what price, who it serves and how it does the work. Shops are not our employees, agents or partners. When you book, you are hiring the Shop. The Shop is responsible for its estimates, work, parts, warranties, your vehicle while in its care, and for complying with the laws that govern it. For automotive shops that includes registration with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and its written-estimate and authorization rules.

Shop information is provided by the Shop. Services, prices (often shown as “from” a starting price), hours, photos, descriptions, amenities, accepted payment methods, links to the Shop’s own website and badges such as certifications or warranties are entered by the Shop and are not verified by RepairRide unless we say so. We ask Shops to keep them accurate and may remove Shops that do not.

What prices include. Service prices we show include the Shop’s own mandatory fees, such as a shop supplies or environmental fee. They don’t include sales tax or government fees on parts you buy (for example California’s tire fee or battery recycling fee), which the Shop adds when you buy those parts. For mobile service, the trip fee is shown separately and added to the estimate before you book. Each Shop decides what it charges and is responsible for the taxes and government fees on its sales.

3. Bookings

A booking is a reservation of the Shop’s time for the service you selected. When you see “confirmed,” our system has reserved the slot against the Shop’s published availability. It is not a quote for the final price, a promise about parts or turnaround, or a guarantee that the work can be done. Final price, scope and timing are agreed between you and the Shop, usually after the Shop inspects your vehicle. If a Shop cannot honor a confirmed booking we will help you rebook and we treat repeated failures seriously, but we are not responsible for the Shop’s decision to reschedule or decline.

Bring the vehicle you booked. Shops may decline vehicles that do not match the booking. Information you provide about your vehicle must be accurate.

4. Accounts, guests and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You may use the Service only for yourself or for someone who has asked you to book for them. Keep your password private, turn on two-factor authentication if you like, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use; you are responsible for activity under your account until you do. One account per person. We may require you to verify your email or identity.

If you book as a guest (without an account) these Terms still apply to that booking. Guests receive confirmations by email, cannot message Shops or leave reviews in the Service, and must contact the Shop directly to change or cancel.

5. Cancellations, no-shows and Shop policies

You can cancel an account booking in the Service until the appointment starts; after that, talk to the Shop. Each Shop may set a no-show and late-cancellation policy. If a Shop has such a policy, we show you the fee and the cancellation window before you book, and you must agree to it and save a payment card to complete the booking. We show the policy again when you cancel inside the window. Guests cannot book Shops that require a card.

Repeated no-shows. [To keep appointment times open for everyone, if Shops mark two of your online bookings as no-shows within 90 days, at any Shops on RepairRide, we limit how you can book online until the older of those two is 90 days old: you can have one upcoming online booking at a time, and you need to be signed in with a payment card saved to your account to book online. We match missed bookings to you by your account (including its verified phone number) or the email you booked with. Only bookings from the date these Terms take effect count. Late cancellations and bookings a Shop enters for you are not counted. Your saved card is charged only by a Shop whose no-show fee you agreed to, as described in section 6. We email you, at the address on the booking that started the limit, when the limit starts, and you can still call a Shop to book. If you think a booking was marked as a no-show by mistake, email support@repairride.com and we will review it.]

6. Cards on file, paying Shops and no-show fees

If you agree to a Shop’s no-show policy, you authorize that Shop to charge the agreed fee to your saved card if you do not show up or cancel inside the window, as stated in the policy text you accepted (we keep a copy and send it in your confirmation). If you choose “I won’t be there” for a mobile job, you authorize that Shop to charge your saved card for that job as stated in the authorization text you accepted. Fees and charges are set and received by the Shop; RepairRide facilitates them through Stripe on the Shop’s behalf. Your card is stored by Stripe on the Shop’s own Stripe account, not by us; we keep only the brand, last four digits and expiration. If you choose a saved card for a rental deposit, you authorize that Shop to hold the deposit on it and keep part or all of it as described in section 8. Apart from these, your saved card is not charged for the repair itself. Shops can waive fees. If you believe a fee or charge was made in error, contact the Shop first and then support@repairride.com and we will review the booking record.

Paying a Shop. You pay the Shop for its work and goods by whatever methods it accepts: at the counter, on its card reader, or through a pay link it sends you. A payment through a pay link or the online store is a payment to the Shop, processed by Stripe on the Shop’s account; the Shop is the seller and handles refunds. If a Shop offers financing and you choose Affirm or Klarna, the loan is between you and that company under its terms; RepairRide is not a lender and does not decide whether you are approved. Pay links are private: do not forward them.

7. Estimates and approvals

A Shop may send you an estimate in the Service. Approving it tells the Shop it may proceed with the listed work at the listed amounts; declining tells the Shop to stop. Your approval in the Service is a convenience and does not replace any written estimate or authorization the Shop must give you under California law. Estimate links are private: anyone with the link can respond, so do not forward it.

Quotes before your visit. For a service priced “Starting at,” the Shop may look at your booking details and send you an updated quote before the day of your visit. If you approve it, the approved amount becomes the price shown for that booking (sales tax and government fees on parts are still added as described in section 2), and any extra work needs a new approval. If you decline it or don’t answer, your booking stays as it was: you can message the Shop, or cancel under the cancellation rules in section 5. Declining a quote is not a late cancellation.

8. Online store orders and rentals

Some Shops sell items through an online store on RepairRide (and on their own websites through RepairRide). When you order, you are buying from the Shop, which is the seller. The Shop sets its prices, stock, shipping and delivery rates and areas, pickup arrangements, return and exchange policy and any warranty, and is responsible for the item and for fulfilling your order. Your order is placed once your payment goes through; if payment isn’t completed within an hour the order is cancelled and the item is released. Shops may limit where they ship. Prices shown before checkout include the Shop’s shipping or delivery charge for your order; sales tax and government fees are added as required. For a refund, return, missing item or delivery problem, contact the Shop; if you can’t resolve it, email support@repairride.com and we will try to help.

Rentals. Some Shops rent out equipment through RepairRide. When you reserve or rent, you are renting from the Shop, which owns the equipment, sets its rates, deposits, add-ons and late-return rule, and is responsible for the equipment and the rental. RepairRide is not a party to the rental. The price shown when you reserve is for the times you picked; if the times change, the Shop’s rates price the new times. If the Shop charges for late returns, we show its rule before you reserve: if you bring the equipment back more than the Shop’s grace period after it is due, the extra time is charged at the Shop’s rental rate. The Shop may ask you to sign its rental waiver at pick-up. The waiver is an agreement between you and the Shop, and a parent or legal guardian must sign it for anyone under 18 who will use the equipment. If you reserve for a group, you are responsible for the rentals you reserve. If a rental has a deposit and you choose a saved card, the Shop holds the deposit on that card at pick-up and may keep part or all of it, up to the amount held, for a late-return charge or for loss or damage it records when the equipment comes back; the rest is released. Without a saved card the Shop takes the deposit at the counter. You can cancel a reservation in the Service until it is picked up. For a charge you think is wrong, contact the Shop first and then support@repairride.com.

9. Shop loyalty rewards

Some Shops run a loyalty program on RepairRide (for example a reward after a number of visits, or points for what you spend). Each program is run and paid for by the Shop, which sets how you earn and redeem, what rewards are worth and when points or rewards expire (for example after a period without activity). Points and rewards can be used only at the Shop that issued them, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not RepairRide currency. A Shop may change or end its program; RepairRide is not responsible for a Shop’s program. If we find points or rewards were earned through fraud or error, they may be removed.

10. Reviews, messages, photos and other content

You may post reviews only for appointments you completed, and they must be your honest experience. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give RepairRide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and distribute it to operate and promote the Service, including showing your review (as “Former customer” after you delete your account) and the Shop’s reply. We may remove content that violates these Terms; we do not remove reviews because they are negative. Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to make truthful statements about RepairRide or any Shop. Messages and photos are for the appointment; do not share others’ personal information (including other people’s faces or license plates) or anything unlawful, abusive or unrelated. Photos you attach to a booking or message are shared with the Shop. You can message the Shop about a booking while it is open and for 24 hours after it closes. A booking closes when it is completed, cancelled or marked missed, or when its time slot ends if you were not checked in by then. After that, contact the Shop directly; the Shop can still message you, and a reply to a text it sends you still reaches it.

Copyright complaints. We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on RepairRide (from a customer, a Shop or us) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent: Copyright Agent, RepairRide LLC, 207 3rd Street, Apt 320, Davis, CA 95616 · (707) 225-4000 · legal@repairride.com. The notice must include: your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, if several, a representative list); the content you say infringes and where it appears on RepairRide (a link is best); your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner. When we receive a notice that includes these, we remove or disable access to the content and tell the person who posted it.

Counter-notices. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our agent a counter-notice with: your physical or electronic signature; the content that was removed and where it appeared; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where RepairRide may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent. We send a copy to that person and restore the content 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice, unless our agent first hears from them that they have filed a court action to stop you from infringing. Knowingly false notices and counter-notices can make the sender liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).

Repeat infringers. We will, in appropriate circumstances, end the accounts of customers and Shops who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights.

11. Acceptable use

Do not: make bookings you do not intend to keep; book on behalf of others without permission; post false reviews or reviews of Shops you have a stake in; harass Shops or staff; scrape, copy or index the Service; interfere with its security or operation; attempt to access other people’s data; misuse estimate links, pay links, payment features or loyalty programs; circumvent fees owed to Shops; or use the Service for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

12. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and data compilations, belongs to RepairRide or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you. “RepairRide” and our logo are our trademarks.

13. Third-party services

Parts of the Service rely on third parties: Stripe (payments; its terms apply to saved cards and payments to Shops), Affirm and Klarna (financing, if you choose it), Apple and Google (sign-in, maps, app distribution), Twilio and Resend (texts and email), Stadia Maps and OpenStreetMap (maps and address lookup), and the NHTSA vehicle database. Message and data rates may apply to texts; reply STOP to stop. We are not responsible for third-party services.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REPAIRRIDE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ABOUT THE SHOPS, THEIR WORK, PARTS, PRICES, AVAILABILITY, QUALIFICATIONS OR INFORMATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT A BOOKING WILL BE HONORED. Some laws do not allow these disclaimers, so some may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REPAIRRIDE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE OR ANY SHOP, OR FOR ANY DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF A VEHICLE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR REPAIR WORK PERFORMED BY A SHOP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID REPAIRRIDE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to the extent California law gives you rights that cannot be waived.

16. Your responsibility to us

You will defend and reimburse RepairRide for third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from content you post, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your dealings with a Shop, except to the extent caused by RepairRide’s own breach or misconduct.

17. Disputes, governing law and venue

Before filing a claim, email legal@repairride.com with your name, the issue and what you want; we will try to resolve it within 30 days. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Other claims must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Yolo County, California, and you and RepairRide consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer-protection right you have as a California resident.

18. Ending your relationship with us

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, fraud or risk to others, with notice where practical, and we end the accounts of repeat copyright infringers as described in Section 10. Sections 10 (for content already posted), 12 and 14–19 survive.

19. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy, together with Apple’s agreement described below if you use the iOS app, are the entire agreement between you and RepairRide about the Service. If any part is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor. You consent to receive notices, receipts and legal communications from us electronically at your account email; you can withdraw that consent by deleting your account.

Apple App Store. If you downloaded the RepairRide iOS app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) also applies to the app. Under Apple’s agreement, RepairRide (not Apple) licenses the app to you; these Terms cover your use of RepairRide through it, and where the two conflict, these Terms control to the extent the law allows. These Terms are between you and RepairRide, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of this paragraph.
